Snowman Logistics tumbles after poor Q3 result

Snowman Logistics lost 9.59% to Rs 58 at 12:40 IST on BSE after net profit fell 22.3% to Rs 4.54 crore on 18.7% rise in total income to Rs 63.32 crore in Q3 December 2015 over Q3 December 2014.

The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 2 February 2016.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 223.03 points or 0.91% at 24,315.97

On BSE, so far 2.41 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 1.59 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a low of Rs 56.50 in intraday trade so far, which is 52-week low for the counter. The stock hit high of Rs 63.90 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 116.45 on 22 July 2015. The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 2 February 2016, falling 20.01% compared with 6.20% decline in the Sensex. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, sliding 29.08% as against Sensex's 7.61% fall.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 167.09 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Snowman Logistics' earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 3% to Rs 11.36 crore in Q3 December 2015 over Q3 December 2014. The company attributed fall in Q3 December 2015 bottomline to higher incidence of depreciation and decrease in interest income.

Snowman Logistics is an integrated temperature controlled logistics services provider with an ability to service customers on a pan India basis.
