The Q1 June 2014 net profit was boosted by exceptional item of Rs 3036.08 crore representing gain on sale of investment in Vodafone India. Berger Paints surged 3.84% to Rs 318.90 and was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock scaled record high of Rs 321.05 in intraday trade today, 6 August 2014.
Amara Raja Batteries rose 3.71% to Rs 516.60 and was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock scaled record high of Rs 520.40 in intraday trade today, 6 August 2014. The company's net profit rose 8.16% to Rs 106 crore on 15.55% growth in net sales excluding other operating income to Rs 1025 crore in Q1 June 2014 over Q1 June 2013.
