Steel Authority of India Ltd gained 1.99% today to trade at Rs 82.2. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 0.69% to quote at 19943.3. The index is up 8.1 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, APL Apollo Tubes Ltd increased 1.44% and Tata Steel Ltd added 1.42% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 4.55 % over last one year compared to the 2.99% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
