Steel Strips Wheels rose 3.9% to Rs 357 at 15:15 IST on BSE after company said total wheel rim sales rose 18% to 10.10 lakhs in December 2014 over December 2013.
The company made announcement during trading hours today, 1 January 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 1.63 points or 0.01% at 27,497.79.
On BSE, so far 11,390 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 11,966 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 362.95 and a low of Rs 340 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 380.60 on 27 November 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 112 on 17 February 2014.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 31 December 2014, falling 4.42% compared with Sensex's 4.16% fall. The scrip had however outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 21.97% as against Sensex's 3.26% rise.
