SML Isuzu rose 1.83% to Rs 1,365.55 at 9:54 IST on BSE after the company said its total sales surged 41.51% to 784 vehicles in October 2015 over October 2014.
The company announced the October sales volume data after market hours yesterday 2 November 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 136.48 points or 0.51% at 26,695.63.
On BSE, so far 10,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 36,000 shares in the past two weeks.
The stock hit a high of Rs 1,389 and a low of Rs 1,351 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 1,670 on 8 April 2015. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 775 on 17 December 2014.
SML Isuzu is a commercial vehicle manufacturer. Sumitomo Corporation, Japan and Isuzu Motors, Japan respectively held 43.96% and 15% stake in SML Isuzu (as per the shareholding pattern as on 30 September 2015).
