Sugar stocks will be in focus after reports indicated that twenty sugar mills in Uttar Pradesh have started crushing operations with the state government confident that other units will begin operations by the month-end.

Bharti Airtel announced after market hours on Monday, 24 November 2014, that it entered into a definitive agreement with American Tower Corporation (AmericanTower) through Bharti Airtel's subsidiary company, Bharti Airtel International (Netherlands) BV (Airtel), for the sale of over 4,800 of Airtel's communications towers in Nigeria. Airtel will be the anchor tenant on the portfolio under a lease with a ten-year initial term.

The agreement will allow Airtel to focus on its core business and customers, enable it to deleverage through debt reduction and will significantly reduce its on-going capital expenditures on passive infrastructure in Nigeria, the Indian company said in a statement. American Tower and Airtel expect to close the acquisition during the first half of 2015, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval, the company said.

Emami after market hours yesterday, 24 November 2014 in a clarification with regard to media news item titled "Emami gears up for Food entry" said that the company is already in the business of marketing and selling of "Honey" and "Gluco Charge" (energy supplement) which fall under the Foods category. The information shared by the Director about the said business was in ordinary course and not any significant information which does not make obligatory on the part of the company to inform the exchange under clause 36 of the Listing Agreement, Emami said.

CEAT after market hours yesterday, 24 November 2014 said that the qualified institutional placement (QIP) Committee of the company had on 24 November 2014, inter alia, approved the floor price of Rs 930.53 per share for the QIP.
