Symphony jumped 6.36% to Rs 836 at 15:11 IST on BSE after net profit surged 50.16% to Rs 27.03 crore on 32.41% growth in total income from operations to Rs 116.29 crore in Q3 March 2014 over Q3 March 2013.
The Q3 result was announced during trading hours today, 28 April 2014.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 63.83 points or 0.28% at 22,624.24.
On BSE, so far 70,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 13,828 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 859.90 and a low of Rs 787 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 866.85 on 22 April 2014. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 270 on 30 August 2013.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 25 April 2014, advancing 5.08% compared with the Sensex's 2.87% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, galloping 90.43% as against Sensex's 7.36% rise.
