Shares of 13 Tata Group companies rose by 0.14% to 9.22% at 14:31 IST on strong demand from investors.
Tata Steel (up 9.22%), Tata Metaliks (up 8.51%), Rallis India (up 7.53%), Tata Global Beverages (up 2.62%), Tata Sponge Iron (up 2.59%), Tata Motors (up 2.36%), Voltas (up 1.20%), Tata Communications (up 1.17%), Titan Industries (up 0.94%), Tinplate Company of India (up 0.73%), Tata Coffee (up 0.45%), Tata Chemicals (up 0.16%) and Tata Power Company (up 0.14%), edged higher. However, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) was down 0.80%.
The BSE Sensex was up 269.57 points, or 1.51% at 18,175.48.
