Tata Motors Ltd fell 2.78% today to trade at Rs 167.75. The S&P BSE Auto index is down 0.59% to quote at 18823.31. The index is up 12.3 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Eicher Motors Ltd decreased 1.44% and Ashok Leyland Ltd lost 1.2% on the day. The S&P BSE Auto index went down 4.3 % over last one year compared to the 17.84% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
Tata Motors Ltd has added 42.83% over last one month compared to 12.3% gain in S&P BSE Auto index and 3.28% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 7.8 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 31.66 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 239.3 on 18 Apr 2019. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 106 on 04 Sep 2019.
