Consolidated generation stands at 47,016 MUs
Tata Power Company announced that the Company's generation capacity increased by 5 per cent in FY 2016 as compared to FY 2015. The Company, together with all its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities, has an installed generation capacity of 9184 MW (as of May 2016) as compared to 8750 MW in FY 2015 from various fuel sourced such as thermal (coal, gas and oil), hydroelectric power, renewable energy (wind and solar PV) and waster heat recovery, thereby, reinforcing its position as the largest integrated power company in India.The consolidated generation through all its subsidiaries stands at 47,016 MUs in FY 2016. The standalone generation stood at 12,075 MUs in FY 2016.
Overall, in FY 2016, CGPL reported total generation of 25680 MUs, while Maithon plant reported 7,172 MUs. TPREL, the renewable energy arm of Tata Power, generated 340 MUs that includes clean and green energy sources (hydro, wind and solar). Total generation from clean sources was 3785 MUs.
