Tata Power Company rose 1.59% to Rs 66.90 at 14:10 IST on BSE after the company said that it has implemented distribution management system in its Mumbai distribution network to provide quality and uninterrupted power to consumers.
The company made announcement during market hours today, 19 November 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 351.95 points, or 1.38%, to 25,834.47.
On BSE, so far 1.54 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 4.1 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 67 and a low of Rs 66.10 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 93.65 on 28 November 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 55.55 on 7 September 2015.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 18 November 2015, falling 5.39% compared with 6.36% fall in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, dropping 3.3% as against Sensex's 8.44% decline.

Tata Power Company said that distribution management system (DMS) will facilitate effective monitoring and control of its network operations in real time with a geographical visualisation across the land base of Mumbai. The DMS is currently rolled out for 2 zones. The balance 4 zones will be covered in a phased manner by March 2016. The DMS would also be integrated to various other enterprise systems so as to facilitate seamless data transfer and thereby enhance the digitized services for its customers.
Tata Power reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 247.31 crore in Q2 September 2015, compared with net loss of Rs 77.75 crore in Q2 September 2014. Net sales rose 10.6% to Rs 9462.92 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014.
