Tata Steel Ltd fell 5.72% today to trade at Rs 354.15. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 4.9% to quote at 7987.81. The index is down 18.98 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Hindalco Industries Ltd decreased 5.72% and Jindal Steel & Power Ltd lost 4.99% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 28.69 % over last one year compared to the 1.84% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
Tata Steel Ltd has lost 25.49% over last one month compared to 18.98% fall in S&P BSE Metal index and 9.1% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 1.62 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 8.2 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 560.35 on 02 May 2019. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 320.3 on 09 Oct 2019.
