Tata Steel standalone net profit declines 16.89% in the March 2016 quarter

Sales decline 1.43% to Rs 10371.74 crore

Net profit of Tata Steel declined 16.89% to Rs 676.60 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 814.09 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015. Sales declined 1.43% to Rs 10371.74 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 10522.68 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015.

For the full year,net profit declined 23.89% to Rs 4900.95 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 6439.12 crore during the previous year ended March 2015. Sales declined 8.73% to Rs 37814.69 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 41433.82 crore during the previous year ended March 2015.
