Ugar Sugar Works net profit rises 1062.89% in the March 2014 quarter

Sales rise 89.52% to Rs 260.55 crore

Net profit of Ugar Sugar Works rose 1062.89% to Rs 44.19 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 3.80 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013. Sales rose 89.52% to Rs 260.55 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 137.48 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013.

For the full year,net loss reported to Rs 29.76 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against net profit of Rs 17.45 crore during the previous year ended March 2013. Sales declined 10.50% to Rs 642.26 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 717.57 crore during the previous year ended March 2013.
