Jaypee Infratech, Jain Irrigation Systems, Wockhardt and Neyveli Lignite Corporation among the other gainers
UPL spurted 20.18% to Rs 276.90 with the stock extending Friday's 7.26% rally triggered by reporting good Q4 results. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 279.65, also its record high. The scrip topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.
On a consolidated basis, UPL's net profit rose 29.4% to Rs 360.28 crore on 18.5% increase in total income to Rs 3365.23 crore in Q4 March 2014 over Q4 March 2013. The result was announced during trading hours on Friday, 25 April 2014, when the stock surged 7.26% to settle at Rs 230.40.
On a consolidated basis, UPL's net profit rose 22.6% to Rs 949.79 crore on 17.3% increase in total income to Rs 10902.23 crore in the year ended 31 March 2014 over the year ended 31 March 2013.
UPL's Board of Directors at its meeting held on Friday, 25 April, 2014, recommended a dividend of Rs 4 per equity share.
Jaypee Infratech gained 13.83% to Rs 25.10. It was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Wockhardt surged 11.73% to Rs 721.80 and was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. Workhardt during market hours today, 28 April 2014 said that the State Drug Controller, Himachal Pradesh has revoked the suspension and accordingly the company will continue to manufacture, sell and distribute the Fixed Dose Combination (FDC) of Dicyclomine Hydrochloride IP 10mg, Tramadol Hydrochloride IP 50mg & Acetamenophen IP 325mg.
On 23 April 2014, Wockhardt announced that the State Drug Controller, Himachal Pradesh, has suspended the manufacture, sale or distribution of Fixed Dose Combination (FDC) Dicyclomine Hydrochloride IP 10 milligram (mg), Tramadol Hydrochloride IP 50 mg and Acetamenophen IP 325 mg.
The company in order to revoke the said suspension is filing an appeal before the State Government under the provisions of applicable law. The product contributed less than 3% of the consolidated sales of Wockhardt during the financial year ended 31 March 2014 (FY 2014), the company said in a statement on 23 April 2014.
Neyveli Lignite Corporation rose 6.67% to Rs 74.35 and was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
