Upper Ganges Sugar & Industries net profit rises 83.11% in the March 2014 quarter

Sales rise 29.80% to Rs 238.06 crore

Net profit of Upper Ganges Sugar & Industries rose 83.11% to Rs 38.60 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 21.08 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013. Sales rose 29.80% to Rs 238.06 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 183.41 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013.

For the full year,net loss reported to Rs 19.39 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against net profit of Rs 12.65 crore during the previous year ended March 2013. Sales rose 50.18% to Rs 768.32 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 511.59 crore during the previous year ended March 2013.
