Uttam Sugar Mills net profit declines 50.65% in the March 2014 quarter

Sales rise 7.78% to Rs 145.22 crore

Net profit of Uttam Sugar Mills declined 50.65% to Rs 13.35 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 27.05 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013. Sales rose 7.78% to Rs 145.22 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 134.74 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013.

For the full year,net loss reported to Rs 66.97 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against net profit of Rs 5.46 crore during the previous year ended March 2013. Sales rose 11.19% to Rs 715.56 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 643.55 crore during the previous year ended March 2013.
