Vascon Engineers jumped 4.99% to Rs 18.95 at 15:00 IST on BSE after the company said it has received an engineering, procurement and construction order of Rs 28.61 crore from Uttar Pradesh Housing & Development Board.
The announcement was made during market hours today, 7 July 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 32.20 points or -0.11% at 28,176.56.
On BSE, so far 57,417 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 10,115 shares in the past one quarter.
The small-cap realty firm hit a high of Rs 20.50 and a low of Rs 17.50 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 34.75 on 7 July 2014. The stock hit a record low of Rs 14.60 on 23 June 2015.
Vascon Engineers said the order is for construction of multi storied residential finished flats, including all developmental work inside the campus, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

On consolidated basis, Vascon Engineers reported net loss of Rs 74.41 in Q4 March 2015 compared with net loss of Rs 26.76 crore in Q4 March 2014. Total income rose 0.7% to Rs 171.46 crore in Q4 March 2015 over Q4 March 2014.
