Vedanta declares first interim dividend

Vedanta informed that the board at the meeting held yesterday has approved the first interim dividend of Rs 3.9 per equity share for the financial year 2019-20 aggregating to Rs 1500 crore.

The stock offers a dividend yield of 2.99% based on yesterday's closing price of Rs 130.50 on BSE.

The record date for the purpose of payment of dividend is Saturday, March 07, 2020, it added.

On the technical front, the stock's RSI (relative strength index) stood at 31.137. The RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Traditionally the RSI is considered overbought when above 70 and oversold when below 30.

Vedanta is a leading producer of oil & gas, zinc, lead, silver, copper, iron ore, aluminum, steel and commercial power.

Shares of the miner ended 0.15% higher yesterday at Rs 130.50 after it traded in the range of Rs 126.45 and Rs 131.30 during the day.
