Volumes jump at Apollo Tyres counter

Apollo Tyres clocked volume of 48.53 lakh shares by 13:44 IST on BSE, a 39.37-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.23 lakh shares. The stock tumbled 23.04% to Rs 70.80. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 69.70 in the intraday trade today, 13 June 2013 after the company said it has entered into a definitive merger agreement to acquire Cooper Tire & Rubber Company in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $2.5 billion.

Tata Coffee notched up volume of 11.25 lakh shares, a 39.23-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 29,000 shares. The stock lost 3.29% at Rs 1,064.

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) saw volume of 1.08 crore shares, a 9.7-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 11.23 lakh shares. The stock surged 4.16% at Rs 5.76.

Sterlite Industries (India) clocked volume of 33.22 lakh shares, a 9.27-fold surge over two week average daily volume of 3.58 lakh shares. The stock lost 0.96% at Rs 82.80.

KSK Energy Ventures saw volume of 11.67 lakh shares, a 8.62-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.35 lakh shares. The stock lost 3.82% at Rs 51.65.
