Volumes jump at Bajaj Auto counter

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Sintex Industries, KPIT Technologies and BPCL are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 17 October 2013.

Bajaj Auto clocked volume of 11.54 lakh shares by 12:39 IST on BSE, a 38.54-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 30,000 shares. The stock rose 2.35% to Rs 2,174 after net profit rose 13% to Rs 837 crore on 3% rise in turnover to Rs 5299 crore in Q2 September 2013 over Q2 September 2012. The company announced Q2 result on Wednesday, 16 October 2013.

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories notched up volume of 40,000 shares, a 2.62-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 15,000 shares. The stock rose 0.44% to Rs 2,421.

Sintex Industries saw volume of 38.94 lakh shares, a 2.39-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 16.29 lakh shares. The stock surged 8.72% to Rs 29.30.

KPIT Technologies clocked volume of 6.66 lakh shares, a 2.39-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.79 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.68% to Rs 141.50.

BPCL saw volume of 3.82 lakh shares, a 1.81-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 2.11 lakh shares. The stock rose 1.47% to Rs 347.70.
