Bajaj Holdings & Investment clocked volume of 1.98 lakh shares by 13:47 IST on BSE, a 161.29-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock rose 0.77% at Rs 1,378.30.
City Union Bank notched up volume of 31.74 lakh shares, a 79.92-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 40,000 shares. The stock rose 1.87% at Rs 76.35.
Sunteck Realty saw volume of 8.70 lakh shares, a 57.18-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 15,000 shares. The stock rose 2.17% at Rs 311.
Kotak Mahindra Bank clocked volume of 17.26 lakh shares, a 30.68-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 56,000 shares. The stock rose 2.55% at Rs 1,022.40 after the bank said a promoter group firm sold a 0.20% stake in the bank to comply with the central bank's guidelines on equity holding in local banks. The bank made the announcement during trading hours today, 21 August 2014.
Colgate-Palmolive (India) saw volume of 4.15 lakh shares, a 20.02-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 21,000 shares. The stock rose 1.54% at Rs 1,498.50.
