Bayer CropScience clocked volume of 61,000 shares by 13:05 IST on BSE, a 42.73-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock was almost flat at Rs 1,772.
Godrej Properties notched up volume of 3.25 lakh shares, a 15.26-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 21,000 shares. The stock rose 10.13% to Rs 182.65.
Elder Pharmaceuticals saw volume of 8.09 lakh shares, a 9.59-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 84,000 shares. The stock jumped 13.31% to Rs 261.
United Breweries (Holdings) clocked volume of 18.37 lakh shares, a 9.26-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.98 lakh shares. The stock surged 19.94% to Rs 37.30.
Transport Corporation of India saw volume of 6.86 lakh shares, a 6.13-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.12 lakh shares. The stock surged 9.94% to Rs 94 after an investment firm run by independent investor Radhakishan Damani bought over 3% stake in the company on Tuesday, 31 December 2013, through a bulk deal on NSE.
