Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 147.58 points or 0.44% at 33,375.57.
Bayer Cropscience clocked volume of 25,000 shares, a 71.2-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 473 shares. The stock declined 0.42% at Rs 3,975.55.
Gujarat Hotels notched up volume of 5.85 lakh shares, a 57-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 10,000 shares. The stock jumped 10.16% to Rs 126.90.
Bharti Airtel saw volume of 42.43 lakh shares, a 19.8-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.14 lakh shares. The stock gained 0.82% at Rs 528.25 after the company announced that Warburg Pincus will acquire up to a 20% equity stake in its DTH arm Bharti Telemedia for approximately $350 million. The announcement was made after trading hours yesterday, 12 December 2017.
V2 Retail clocked volume of 8.82 lakh shares, a 19.78-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 45,000 shares. The stock dropped 2.66% at Rs 504.30.
