Volumes jump at Indo Rama Synthetics (India) counter

Aurionpro Solutions, Ajanta Pharma, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and Opto Circuits (India) are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 27 January 2014.

Indo Rama Synthetics (India) clocked volume of 54.95 lakh shares by 13:47 IST on BSE, a 156.9-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 35,000 shares. The stock rose 2.68% at Rs 15.35.

Aurionpro Solutions notched up volume of 5 lakh shares, a 66-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 76,000 shares. The stock rose 1.91% at Rs 149.70.

Ajanta Pharma saw volume of 1.21 lakh shares, a 6.82-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 18,000 shares. The stock rose 0.78% at Rs 942.60.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (Glenmark) clocked volume of 1.73 lakh shares, a 4.9-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 35,000 shares. The stock surged 5.21% to Rs 535.55 after consolidated net profit rose 1.55% to Rs 216.23 crore on 15.92% growth in revenue to Rs 1601.22 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012. The Q3 result was announced after market hours on Friday, 24 January 2014.

Glenmark said that the net profit for the quarter is not comparable due to out-licensing income of Rs 49.30 crore received in Q3 December 2012. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization) excluding out-licensing income surged 34.75% to Rs 364.97 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012.

Opto Circuits (India) saw volume of 40.26 lakh shares, a 4.71-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 8.54 lakh shares. The stock spurted 17.12% at Rs 36.25.
