Info Edge (India) clocked volume of 5 lakh shares by 12:37 IST on BSE, a 14.91-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 34,000 shares. The stock rose 2.66% to Rs 330.
Petronet LNG notched up volume of 6.30 lakh shares, a 12.04-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 52,000 shares. The stock rose 1.50% to Rs 124.85.
Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company saw volume of 15.67 lakh shares, a 10.63-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.47 lakh shares. The stock surged 13.50% to Rs 60.55. According to a media report, at least three global private equity firms are in talks to acquire up to 24% stake jointly in the company. The deal could be valued at over Rs 500 crore, the report said, adding that the exclusivity period of the due diligence is likely to end in next few days.
However, Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company clarified to BSE during trading hours today, 7 October 2013, that it has no comments to offer on the newspaper report, which is totally baseless, speculative and unsubstantiated.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone clocked volume of 10.49 lakh shares, a 10.06-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.04 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.28% to Rs 143.60.
