Volumes jump at ING Vysya Bank counter

ING Vysya Bank clocked volume of 2.76 lakh shares by 13:39 IST on BSE, a 22.82-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 12,000 shares. The stock rose 2.18% to Rs 601.50 ahead of FY 2013 results today, 29 April 2013.

CMC notched up volume of 1 lakh shares, a 19.76-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock rose 0.53% to Rs 1,365.05.

Lanco Infratech saw volume of 43.92 lakh shares, a 4.01-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 10.96 lakh shares. The stock jumped 10.37% to Rs 11.60 after the firm said the litigation for a claim of AUD 3.5 billion by Perdaman Chemicals against Griffin Coal and Lanco Group in the Supreme Court of Western Australia is now at an end. The company made the announcement during trading hours today, 29 April 2013.

Lanco has agreed to pay Perdaman Chemicals (Perdaman) a nominal amount of AUD 7.5 million plus legal costs to be taxed by the Court, without admissions of any of the allegations of Perdaman, Lanco Infratech said in a statement. This settlement was reached pursuant to the rules of Supreme Court of Western Australia, which allows for early and cost effective resolution of such claims, Lanco Infratech added.

Exide Industries clocked volume of 3.66 lakh shares, a 3.34-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.1 lakh shares. The stock lost 2.16% to Rs 136.

Vakrangee Softwares saw volume of 7.98 lakh shares, a 3.11-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 2.56 lakh shares. The stock lost 0.47% to Rs 74.35.
