Kirloskar Oil Engines clocked volume of 19.43 lakh shares by 13:42 IST on BSE, a 1487.86-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock surged 4.59% to Rs 154.85.
Uttam Galva Steels notched up volume of 25.25 lakh shares, a 32.23-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 78,000 shares. The stock jumped 4.15% to Rs 71.50.
Wyeth saw volume of 1.33 lakh shares, a 23.7-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6,000 shares. The stock rose 4.53% to Rs 812. The stock extended Wednesday's rally triggered by the company and Pfizer announcing that the board of directors of the two companies will on Saturday, 23 November 2013, separately consider merger proposal.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises clocked volume of 5.77 lakh shares, a 5.74-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1 lakh shares. The stock lost 2.85% at Rs 259 after a block deal of 2 lakh shares was executed on BSE at Rs 260.70 per share at 10:30 IST. The block deal constitutes 0.02% of Zee Entertainment Enterprises' equity.
Standard Chartered PLC saw volume of 8.01 lakh shares, a 4.55-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.76 lakh shares. The stock rose 1.42% to Rs 128.50.
