Volumes jump at MMTC counter

Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills, Dabur India, Indraprastha Gas and J&K Bank are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 17 July 2013.

MMTC clocked volume of 66.88 lakh shares by 13:45 IST on BSE, a 201.03-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 33,000 shares. The stock was locked at 5% lower circuit at Rs 53.10.

Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills notched up volume of 2.29 lakh shares, a 10.32-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 22,000 shares. The stock surged 3.18% to Rs 293.35.

Dabur India saw volume of 3.25 lakh shares, a 5.73-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 57,000 shares. The stock jumped 4.78% at Rs 166.55. The stock hit a record high of Rs 167.55 in the intraday trade today.

Indraprastha Gas clocked volume of 2.76 lakh shares, a 4.63-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 60,000 shares. The stock surged 5.45% at Rs 307.50.

J&K Bank saw volume of 51,000 shares, a 3.66-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 14,000 shares. The stock rose 0.98% at Rs 1,254.
