Motherson Sumi Systems clocked volume of 4.39 lakh shares by 12:43 IST on BSE, a 8.36-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 53,000 shares. The stock rose 2.26% to Rs 196.50.
BPCL notched up volume of 2.82 lakh shares, a 4.03-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 70,000 shares. The stock fell 2.61% to Rs 330.70.
Nestle India saw volume of 16,000 shares, a 2.36-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 7,000 shares. The stock rose 0.83% to Rs 5,334.30.
Arvind clocked volume of 16.76 lakh shares, a 1.61-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 10.39 lakh shares. The stock fell 1.91% to Rs 141.50, with the stock declining on profit booking after the recent upmove.
Shares of Arvind were on a roll recently, gaining 8.29% in three trading days to Rs 144.25 on 2 January 2014 from a recent low of Rs 133.20 on 30 December 2013.
