Petronet LNG clocked volume of 3.95 crore shares by 12:32 IST on BSE, a 226.23-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.75 lakh shares. The stock fell 5.06% to Rs 183.
Godrej Industries notched up volume of 56.71 lakh shares, a 94.68-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 60,000 shares. The stock fell 0.07% to Rs 301.25.
Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers saw volume of 15.73 lakh shares, a 26.13-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 60,000 shares. The stock hit an upper circuit limit of 20% at Rs 88.10 after the company said Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation has increased its open-offer price to acquire additional stake in the firm.
Sanofi India clocked volume of 1.01 lakh shares, a 12.54-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock fell 2.69% to Rs 3,271.
JSW Energy saw volume of 10 lakh shares, a 2.81-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 3.56 lakh shares. The stock fell 7.40% to Rs 66.95 after the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Jaiprakash Power Ventures for buying three operational plants. The announcement was made after market hours on Thursday, 25 September 2014.
