Volumes jump at R Systems International counter

Aptech, Cadila Healthcare, Patel Engineering and Infosys are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 7 February 2014.

R Systems International clocked volume of 1.06 lakh shares by 13:44 IST on BSE, a 36.89-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock surged 5.18% at Rs 490.50.

Aptech notched up volume of 7.77 lakh shares, a 12.44-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 62,000 shares. The stock jumped 4.17% to Rs 72.50.

Cadila Healthcare saw volume of 3.59 lakh shares, a 10.44-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 34,000 shares. The stock rose 2.56% at Rs 875 after consolidated net profit jumped 82% to Rs 186 crore on 17% growth in total income to Rs 1872 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012. The Q3 result was announced during trading hours today, 7 February 2014.

Patel Engineering clocked volume of 9.94 lakh shares, a 4.84-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.06 lakh shares. The stock jumped 7.18% at Rs 64.20 after the company said its consortium has emerged as the lowest bidder for the 1,000 megawatts Pakal DUL Hydroelectric Project. The company made the announcement after trading hours on Thursday, 6 February 2014.

Infosys saw volume of 1.61 lakh shares, a 4.25-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 38,000 shares. The stock rose 0.6% to Rs 3,584.85.
