Reliance Power clocked volume of 9.60 crore shares by 12:49 IST on BSE, a 95.32-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 10.08 lakh shares. The stock fell 1.77% to Rs 66.75.
National Aluminium Company (Nalco) notched up volume of 30.34 lakh shares, a 39.82-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 76,000 shares. The stock fell 0.95% to Rs 36.35.
ITC saw volume of 45.54 lakh shares, a 11.89-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.83 lakh shares. The stock fell 1% to Rs 325.65.
Asian Paints clocked volume of 13.04 lakh shares, a 9.85-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.32 lakh shares. The stock fell 0.24% to Rs 472.
Ranbaxy Laboratories saw volume of 30.97 lakh shares, a 4.98-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 6.21 lakh shares. The stock fell 18.11% to Rs 341.70 after the company announced that the US Food and Drug Administration notified the company that it is prohibited from manufacturing and distributing active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) from its facility in Toansa, India, for FDA-regulated drug products.
