Shriram Transport Finance Company clocked volume of 6.29 lakh shares by 12:41 IST on BSE, a 13.44-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 47,000 shares. The stock rose 2.85% to Rs 943.90.
Vardhman Textiles notched up volume of 2.60 lakh shares, a 7.89-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 33,000 shares. The stock rose 6.65% to Rs 368 after net profit rose 33.90% to Rs 154.32 crore on 13.85% rise in net sales to Rs 1282.22 crore in Q4 March 2014 over Q4 March 2013. The result was announced after market hours on Friday, 23 May 2014.
Kalpataru Power Transmission saw volume of 4.24 lakh shares, a 4.33-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 98,000 shares. The stock surged 19.65% to Rs 177.50.
United Spirits clocked volume of 7.47 lakh shares, a 4.29-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.74 lakh shares. The stock fell 0.04% to Rs 2,792.
Sun TV Network saw volume of 2.96 lakh shares, a 4.23-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 70,000 shares. The stock fell 0.08% to Rs 424.05.
