Standard Chartered PLC clocked volume of 7.60 lakh shares by 13:29 IST on BSE, a 71.21-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 11,000 shares. The stock declined 16.79% to Rs 86.45 after New York's state regulator threatened to strip the lender of its state banking licence, saying it had hid $250 billion in Iran-related transactions.
Everonn Education notched up volume of 8.98 lakh shares, a 5.57-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.61 lakh shares. The stock jumped 12.68% to Rs 164.40.
HDFC Bank clocked volume of 5.12 lakh shares, a 4.43-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.16 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.04% to Rs 600. The stock hit a high of Rs 602.80 so far during the day, which is a record high for the counter.
Reliance Industrial Infrastructure clocked volume of 2.67 lakh shares, a 4.32-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 62,000 shares. The stock rose 0.63% to Rs 444.50.
V-Guard Industries notched up volume of 1.52 lakh shares, a 4.16-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 36,000 shares. The stock surged 4.91% to Rs 352.50. The stock hit a high of Rs 354 so far during the day, which is a record high for the counter.
