Sundaram Finance clocked volume of 17.46 lakh shares by 13:36 IST on BSE, a 522.49-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock rose 1.88% at Rs 1,507.25 after the company said it will seek shareholders' nod for private placement of debentures upto a sum of Rs 7500 crore during the period 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016. The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 25 February 2015.
Borosil Glass Works notched up volume of 64,000 shares, a 50.52-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock rose 1.37% at Rs 1,705.75.
Oil India saw volume of 5.05 lakh shares, a 12.22-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 41,000 shares. The stock fell 1.78% at Rs 470.50.
Kalindee Rail Nirman (Engineers) clocked volume of 20.71 lakh shares, a 5.5-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.76 lakh shares. The stock declined 7.6% at Rs 130.10.
Idea Cellular saw volume of 11.97 lakh shares, a 4.01-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 2.98 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.53% at Rs 153.15.
