Tata Steel announced that it sold 3.85 crore shares of Tata Motors to institutional investors over the stock exchange today, 18 September 2015, for a total consideration of Rs 1250.69 crore. Tata Steel said that the share sale was part of its portfolio restructuring. Based on the transaction, each Tata Motor stock was sold at Rs 324.67. La Opala RG notched up volume of 1.89 lakh shares, a 16.77-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 11,000 shares. The stock rose 4.23% to Rs 603.50.
Pfizer saw volume of 31,000 shares, a 8.78-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock rose 9.20% to Rs 2,479.55.
SKS Microfinance clocked volume of 16.58 lakh shares, a 6.78-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.44 lakh shares. The stock fell 14.59% to Rs 384.60.
