Westlife Development clocked volume of 9.25 lakh shares by 13:48 IST on BSE, a 321.02-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock lost 2.49% to Rs 400 after two block deals aggregating 9.21 lakh shares were executed in the counter on BSE at Rs 417.85 per share at 10:31 IST. One block deal was of 6.82 lakh shares while another block deal was of 2.39 lakh shares. The two block deals constitute 0.59% of Westlife Development's equity.
Bharti Infratel notched up volume of 3.84 lakh shares, a 199.03-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2,000 shares. The stock rose 0.31% at Rs 160 after a block deal of 3.83 lakh shares was executed on the counter on BSE at Rs 160 per share at 11:58 IST. The block deal constitutes 0.02% of Bharti Infratel's equity.
TTK Prestige saw volume of 33,000 shares, a 32.78-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock jumped 11.2% at Rs 3660.
Wockhardt clocked volume of 15.15 lakh shares, a 3.97-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.81 lakh shares. The stock tumbled 9.29% at Rs 428.15 after the company during trading hours today, 27 November 2013, announced that it has received a warning letter from US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its manufacturing units located at L1, Chikalthana, Aurangabad and B15, Waluj, Aurangabad. USFDA has, however, excluded five products from import alert. Metoprolol XR is under the import alert. The company has already initiated several steps to address the observations made by the USFDA and shall put all efforts to resolve the matter at the earliest, Wockhardt said.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals saw volume of 17.78 lakh shares, a 3.63-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 4.9 lakh shares. The stock surged 7.11% at Rs 130.30.
