Volumes jump at Westlife Development counter

Sanofi India, Petronet LNG, NTPC and Dhanlaxmi Bank are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 12 May 2015.

Westlife Development clocked volume of 3.81 lakh shares by 12:43 IST on BSE, a 642.23-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 593 shares. The stock fell 1.26% to Rs 290.10.

Sanofi India notched up volume of 41,000 shares, a 63.64-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 645 shares. The stock fell 2.32% to Rs 3,100.

Petronet LNG saw volume of 16.37 lakh shares, a 18.80-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 87,000 shares. The stock fell 3.11% to Rs 169.85.

NTPC clocked volume of 17.16 lakh shares, a 11.35-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.51 lakh shares. The stock fell 2.80% to Rs 140.80.

Dhanlaxmi Bank saw volume of 12.45 lakh shares, a 10.70-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.16 lakh shares. The stock rose 6.32% to Rs 40.40 on media reports that Kotak Mahindra Bank is looking to acquire the bank via share swap. Due diligence for the proposed acquisition is in final stages, reports added.
