VRL Logistics lost 7.78% to Rs 367.60 at 14:44 IST on BSE after net profit fell 1.5% to Rs 24.73 crore on 0.2% increase in total income to Rs 432.85 crore in Q3 December 2015 over Q3 December 2014.
The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 1 February 2016.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 89.30 points or 0.36% at 24,735.53
On BSE, so far 56,809 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 42,987 shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 392.90 and low of Rs 366.50 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 478.70 on 1 September 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 261.10 on 12 May 2015. The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 1 February 2016, sliding 7.44% compared with 5.11% decline in the Sensex. The scrip, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 2.15% as against Sensex's 6.87% fall.
The mid-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 91.24 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
VRL Logistics said that the board of directors of the company at its meeting held on 1 February 2016 has considered and declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share for the year ending 31 March 2016.
