Wabco India announces change in production schedule

Wabco India on Tuesday said four of its plants will be operational for four days a week during March 2020.

In view of the weak demand and based on customer schedules, the company made changes in its production schedule.

As per the changes, Ambattur plant (Tamil Nadu), Panthnagar plant (Uttarakhand), Lucknow plant (Uttar Pradesh), Jamshedpur plant (Jharkhand) will work for four days a week during March 2020 with Fridays being considered as leave.

The scrip was currently up 0.41% at Rs 6738.75 amid bargain hunting. The stock fell 2.55% in the past four sessions to end at Rs 6711.25 on Monday (2 March) from a recent closing high of Rs 6887.15 recorded on 25 February 2020.

WABCO India manufactures automotive parts. The company produces electronic braking, stability, and suspension and transmission control systems for heavy-duty commercial trucks, trailers and buses.

On a standalone basis, the company's net profit fell 35.3% to Rs 38.70 crore on a 41% decline in net sales to Rs 385.11 crore in Q3 December 2019 over Q3 December 2018.
