Wipro rose 0.88% to Rs 561.55 at 9:35 IST on BSE after the company said that it has been selected by DSM as its strategic IT partner to provide Workplace Services.
The announcement was made before market hours today, 29 July 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 30.78 points or 0.11% at 27,490.01.
Shares of IT services provider hit a high of Rs 561.90 and a low of Rs 557.65 so far during the day. The stock had hit 52-week high of Rs 676.90 on 11 March 2015. The stock had hit 52-week low of Rs 512.55 on 24 April 2015.
On BSE, so far 4,094 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 1.4 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
Wipro announced that it has been selected by DSM, a global, science based company active in health, nutrition and materials, as its strategic IT partner to provide Workplace Services. Wipro will bring next generation workplace technology features such as predictive analytics, automation, self-help, self-heal, multi-channel support and user experience management to DSM through this multi-year strategic partnership. This technology deployment will help DSM optimize costs, while providing users (i.e. DSM's employees) with an Internet-centric and sustainable workplace, with smart systems which will enable a seamless user experience. The smart systems include predictive monitoring for faster service restoration, automation and preventive self-heal to minimize service disruptions, and round-the-clock support to enable stable operations. The green IT features of the project will improve the sustainability of this initiative.
