Wipro rose 0.57% to Rs 558.20 at 9:20 IST on BSE after the company announced a five-year partnership with Jubilant FoodWorks to deliver energy management services and help reduce its energy and operational costs.
The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 28 March 2016.Shares of Jubilant FoodWorks gained 0.88% to Rs 1,220 on BSE.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 31.53 points or 0.13% at 24,934.87.
On BSE, so far 185 shares were traded in the counter of Wipro as against average daily volume of 1.02 lakh shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit a high of Rs 558.20 and a low of Rs 556.60 so far during the day.
Wipro said that the EcoEnergy business of Wipro had rolled out its multi-year managed restaurant energy services (MRES) program last year leveraging its unique Service Window framework. Jubilant FoodWorks is a master franchisee for Domino's Pizza and Dunkin' Donuts in India.
Wipro's consolidated net profit declined 0.05% to Rs 2234.10 crore on 3.06% growth in net sales to Rs 12951.60 crore in Q3 December 2015 over Q2 September 2015.
