Wonderla Holidays slumped 7.70% to Rs 175 after the company announced temporary closure of its amusement park in Hyderabad due to coronavirus pandemic.
The scrip fell 12.97% to hit the day's low at Rs 165, which is also a 52-week low for the stock.
"In view of the emerging situation in the State of Telangana, consequent to the reported Corona Virus cases, the company has decided to temporarily close the Hyderabad Park from 15th to 21st March 2020. This decision has been taken in accordance with the safety and pre-cautionary guidelines outlined by the State Government to prevent and contain the spread of COVID 19," the company said in a statement on Monday, 16 March 2020.
The company reported 24.3% fall in net profit to Rs 10.99 crore on an 8% fall in net sales to Rs 69.98 crore in Q3 December 2019 over Q3 December 2018.
Wonderla Holidays is engaged in the business of amusement parks and resorts. The company's segments include Amusement park, Resort and Others. It operates approximately three amusement parks in Kochi, Bangalore and Hyderabad under the brand name Wonderla.
