Eleven people were killed in mortar attacks in separate places in Syria Wednesday.
Nine people were killed and 16 others wounded in a mortar attacks in districts of Syria's central province of Homs, Xinhua reported citing state-run SANA news agency.
The attacks took place in the districts of Ghouta, Insha'at, and al-Hamra in Homs, SANA said, giving no further details.
The attacks were a part of ongoing mortar attacks that have been staged on a daily basis in several Syrian cities, most notably in the capital Damascus.
Earlier in the day, two people were killed and 20 others wounded in multiple mortar attacks in some neighbourhoods of Syria's capital Damascus
The mortars landed in the eastern districts of Bab Touma and Zablatani, causing material losses.
Damascenes have been angered by the indiscriminate shelling from the rebels, who claimed that they only targeted security and military positions.
The rebels announced that shelling Damascus came as a response to the tight siege laid against them by government troops.
