At least 14 persons were killed across China due to floods, landslides and hailstorms, the authorities said on Thursday.
Guizhou province reported nine fatalities due to heavy rainfall and landslides, Xinhua news agency reported.
Nine people remain missing in the province and about 65,600 people were evacuated, the ministry said.
In Hunan province, four people were killed, with six reported missing and 157,000 others evacuated. One person was killed in Shanxi province.
