At least 15 people drowned when a ferry capsized on Lake Kivu in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), authorities said.
Four women and eight children were among the dead. Over 30 people were rescued, xinhua reported.
The tragedy happened Saturday when the vessel with an unknown number of passengers aboard was sailing between Idjwi island and Goma, a city in North Kivu province.
Bad weather and high winds caused the accident, officials said.
