189 mohalla clinics set up in delhi till December

The Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government has so far set up 189 mohalla clinics against the target of 530. Around 300 more clinics are expected to be functional by end of March.

According to the status report of the Outcome Budget presented by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia here on Monday, each of these clinics handle 94 patients every day.

In the Outcome Budget, 56 programmes were included comprising 1,487 output indicators, of which 730 were critical.

"276 schools were covered for screening of health nutrition status of students under the School Health Scheme against the target of 400 for 2018-19. Of 2.81 lakh children screened, 1.57 lakh were counselled/treated for general health issues," the report stated.

Around 10 lakh students from 1,221 schools were covered under the weekly iron folic acid supplementation programme and 16.25 lakh students from 1,585 schools were covered under the mass de-worming programme.

The report also noted around 2.31 lakh children of 9-11 months age group were immunised against the target of 3.41 lakh, while 1.36 lakh institutional deliveries were facilitated through Asha workers against the target of 1.75 lakh.

Till December 2018, 52,833 tuberculosis patients were provided treatment against 61,029 in 2017-18. Around 2 crore people availed the health care services in 32 Delhi government hospitals.
