Over 300 companies from 20 countries will be showcasing smarter solutions at the three-day UBM India's IFSec, one of the largest annual South Asian events on electronic the security industry that begins here on Thursday.
"With the rising crime graph, varied growth in infrastructure is giving way to the demand for surveillance that has risen sharply among urban cities through corporate, industrial, institutional, RWAs and security agencies. Research points out that their demand has rising since the December 16, 2013 gang-rape. The demand for video surveillance, besides other security systems like alarm systems, metal detectors/X-ray machines have increased," the organisers said in a statement.
"Booming demand for security solutions, falling costs of products & installation coupled with easy hassle-free installation & portability is making wireless security an instant hit," said Yogesh Mudras, MD, UBM India, adding that the expo will "show some of the finest Wi-Fi electronic surveillance technologies & architectures to secure our tomorrows".
Experts say that the rise in terrorist activities, growing crime rates, data thefts, remote monitoring, growth of public infrastructure, increasing IT spending, government initiatives and increasing security spending are boosting markets for video surveillance systems in India.
Speaking on new technologies, Jayam Balasubramanian, head (Marketing and Communication) of Chinese security major Hikvision said: "The capital can expect to witness better and new technologies at the IFSEC 2015, technologies that will ensure a better and comprehensive security not only in the corporate sector but in terms of public safety and city surveillance."
