A string of bomb blasts rocked the Iraqi capital city Wednesday, leaving 35 people killed and wounding 75 others.
A car bomb went off at a parking lot outside the Iraqi foreign ministry building in the city centre, adjacent to Green Zone that houses some government offices and the US embassy, Xinhua quoted an interior ministry source as saying.
In a statement, the ministry said at least 11 employees and guards were killed and 10 wounded in the suicide attack.
Another attack occurred when a suicide bomber blew up his explosive vest at a restaurant frequented by security members in the same area near the Green Zone.
However, a spokesperson of Baghdad Operations Command, said a total of 20 people were killed and 28 wounded in the two attacks outside the foreign ministry and the restaurant.
A third blast which took place near Baghdad mayor's in Sinak commercial district, killed five people and injured nine, the interior ministry source said.

Six people were injured when a rocket struck an intersection in downtown Baghdad, the source added.
At least 10 people were killed and 24 injured when two car bombs detonated in quick succession in Baghdad's Jesr Diyala district, a police source said. Eight people were injured when another car bomb detonated in the nearby district of Zaafaraniyah.
The UN Special Representative for Iraq Nickolay Mladenov condemned the attack on the foreign ministry building and urged Iraqi leaders to unite against terrorism.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks.
According to the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq, a total of 8,868 Iraqis, including 7,818 civilians and civilian police personnel, were killed in 2013, the highest annual death toll in years.
